New Head of UNAMI Human Rights Office Visits DFR

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (dfr.gov.krd) – Minister Falah Mustafa Bakir Head of the KRG Department of Foreign Relations received the New Head of United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) Human Rights Erbil Office, Ms. Yoshiko Hasumi to explore ways of furthering cooperation between KRG and UNAMI in the field of human rights.

 

 

The Minister expressed KRG’s appreciation to the UN Agencies for their support and cooperation with the Kurdistan Region institutions and reiterated KRG’s firm commitment to protecting and promoting Human Rights in the Region. Minister Bakir called upon the UN agencies to play a more active role in the Kurdistan Region.

The two sides reiterated their readiness to continue working together on issues of common interest. The meeting was also attended by Ms. Siham Mamand, the Assistant Head of DFR.

Head of DFR welcomes incoming Yemeni Ambassador to Iraq

KRG UK Representative attends Labour Party conference in Liverpool

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (dfr.gov.krd) – The KRG High Representative to the United Kingdom, Karwan Jamal Tahir accompanied by Khasro Ajgayi, political and media directorate and The Secretary of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG), Gary Kent, attended fringe meeting organized in conjunction with the Centre for Kurdish Progress at the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool.

 

 

New Serbian Ambassador to Iraq pledges commitment to boost relations with Kurdistan Region

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (cabinet.gov.krd) – The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia, Uroš Balov, visited the Foreign Relations Department of the Kurdistan Regional Government and was welcomed by the Head of the KRG Department of the Foreign Relations, Minister Falah Mustafa, and the Assistant Head, Siham Mamand to discuss recent parliamentary elections, the latest political developments, the government formation process and Erbil-Baghdad relations.
