Minister Falah Mustafa bids farewell to departing UK Consul General Martin Warr

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (dfr.gov.krd) –Minister Falah Mustafa, Head of Foreign Relations Department of the KRG, on 1st July met with the outgoing British Consul General Martin Warr to thank him for his work. 

Minister Falah Mustafa thanked Mr. Warr for supporting the good relations between the Kurdistan Region and Britain during his tenure and wished him success in his future postings. He also thanked the people and government of the UK for their assistance to the Peshmerga forces, refugees and IDPs during the war against ISIS.

Minister Mustafa and Mr. Warr discussed recent political developments in Kurdistan Region and beyond, Erbil-Baghdad Relations and efforts to form the new KRG cabinet.

The outgoing UK Consul General thanked the DFR and other KRG institutions for their support for the Consulate's work. He said that the UK wishes to continue strengthening relations with Kurdistan Region.

KRG Spokesperson: Main Perpetrator of Erbil Shooting Arrested

The main perpetrator responsible for the Erbil restaurant shooting on July 17 has now been arrested by the Counter-Terrorism Unit of Kurdistan Region, following a large-scale search operation. He has been named as Mazlum Dag.
