Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) - Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today received Poland's Undersecretary of State for Economic Diplomacy, Development Cooperation, Asia, Africa and the Middle East Policy, Maciej Lang and his delegation in Erbil.
Undersecretary Lang observed that the Kurdistan Region’s stability and strong security are a draw for Polish investment. He said that a Polish trade and business delegation will visit the Kurdistan Region in the near future to explore further commercial opportunities.
The Undersecretary also commended the Kurdistan Region for taking in a large number of internally displaced persons (IDP), despite struggling with economic challenges itself.
In reply, the Prime Minister remarked that the Kurdistan Region has already provided many opportunities for foreign businesses to invest and is committed to fostering the right climate to encourage further foreign investment.
