Prime Minister Masrour Barzani meets with provincial leaders of the Kurdistan Region

Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (GOV.KRD) – Prime Minister Masrour Barzani today met with the heads of the Kurdistan Region’s provincial councils.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Barzani and Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani welcomed the opportunity to work closely together with representatives of the different provinces of the Kurdistan Region.

Prime Minister Barzani called on the provincial councils to assist in streamlining approval processes for key infrastructure projects and investments. He also stressed the need to diversify the economy of the Kurdistan Region by developing a variety of sectors, including tourism and agriculture.

The Prime Minister stressed the significant role of the provincial councils in ensuring the effective implementation of the new government’s ambitious reforms, helping modernise government institutions and enhancing the delivery of public services.

Emphasising that the rights of public employees continue to be a priority for his government, he also highlighted the important contribution of all government employees in their service to the people of the Kurdistan Region.




White House hosts Minister Dizayee for meeting on KRG-US partnership
